It has been some time since our residents voted yes on CPLG-2 - the
Department of Nature & Structures has been working hard to make it happen.
From now on, properties contain a plot and buildings, which each define their own bounds. Plots can now be changed, with old versions stored for reference. A property can contain multiple buildings, each with its own name. When registering a new property, you will now start by submitting the plot, then add buildings onto the property. Plots may not overlap.
Plots can exceed a borough's boundaries, as long as part of the plot is touching one of the boroughs claimed in the property details.
Beware that basements are counted as part of the outline of buildings, whereas overhangs (balconies and roofs) do not count. A building cannot exceed its plots size. Failure to disclose or abuse of the system may lead to the property being transferred to the responsible borough without compensation. The military is excluded from the requirement to register buildings, as they may contain security relevant detail.
The department has assigned plots and buildings for all properties, disputes can be settled at their office in
Ferrowfield.
