Inverportshire Station Option A Survey Complete

Curve Height near Cuddy Nuek
Platform Start on Shepherd’s Rookery Street
Platform End
Height (mud patch in the middle of the image)
Surveyors have now visited the site of Option A and published more details about the site. The location has been marked and can be viewed in person. The railway would enter below the surface, where the platforms start at the crossing seen in the first image. Only the house to the left is to be demolished, the houses to the right are safe. Shepherd’s Rookery Street will be removed from here on down to the end of the platform, seen in the second image. The street connecting the curch's exit - Gullrock Row - with Shepherd's will be closed and capped. The curve out of the station to the north/west cuts through the hill on the west end of Blethergate Rookery. The race remains interesting.

It's good to finally see some movement on this. Hopefully, they can get this station built soon.

While I applaud progress, I do wonder about the impact on those whose homes are affected. We must ensure fair compensation and support for all involved.

Progress is always welcome, but I do hope they've considered the impact on the local ecosystem.
