The station is not complete, until a proper building has replaced the yellow scaffolding. A proposal has been put forward by the Ramsley Architecture Company, based on Tally Street in Paddington. The company is a well known local agency that has recently been active in northern Enfield. Their building is based on the popular brick building invented by the company. The station building would incorporate sandstone imported from Astokeshire and Inverportshire brick
An ambitious design! I do hope they incorporate some features honoring Pilegron's rich history.
While I admire the Ramsley Architecture Company's ambition, I hope they consider incorporating some functional elements into their design. A station should be practical as well as aesthetically pleasing.
Such grand plans! It's heartening to see Pilegron grow and change. I hope they find a way to honor the old station as well.
