A new proposal for a tunnel straight thru the city has been put forward by the new Central Northern Consortium. A new tunnel spanning from the central station to blacksmith, a bridge passing over to northwark and another tunnel to harrow are proposed.
A new station in
Harrow should form the northern entrance into pilegron, merging the Klusbahn, City Central & the northern main line. A small goods section is planned too, serving the Metrosys Plant
Harrow. The tracks will be below street level, thus the current track next to the street will be used to enlarge the plots on the street side. The existing houses will not be allowed to extend their building, but it is possible to add gardens. The station building will be located next to North Gate.
Bourbaki Station will be moved underground and the tracks crossing the streets will be converted into tunnels. The current site of the station will be turned into a park. The underground station will not be directly connect to the metro, because the bourbaki metro station will be closed and the blue line will be redirected to the new
Harrow station. A new tunnel for the Central Railway thru kensington is part of the plan too. The tunnel would replace the now empty farmland under the houses on
Kensington Lane. A tunnel under Finsbury Street would lead directly to the tracks at paddington, where another small station will be erected. The line continues under
Hammer Square and joins the north eastern main line tunnel leading out of the
Origin Main Station. The northern line (colored blue in the map) will get a long tunnel and a bridge to pass the Pilegron River. The double track mainline requires submitting an extra planning permit the bridge spanning from west
Paddington to the elevator in
Northwark.
