The
Klus Mountain Railway has finally been completed when the new Orgin -
Hammer tunnel opened yesterday. The railway now extends all the way to the small terminus in
Paddington, which has been a troubled part of the network ever since it was first built. The new tunnel descends at
Origin, where it will pass under the currently in construction tunnel for the two main lines to
Hammer. The tunnel then ascends back into
Hammer Station, where it continues through the Borough of
Paddington, terminating at the
Paddington Station. The tunnel for the two main lines to
Brimpton and
Creston Heights is still under construction. Initially the plan was to connect the
Astokeshire Railway to the
Paddington extension, but the plans changed when
Leonshowe Station was rebuilt.
