The origin main station building has been opened today, following a complex construction project. The overground building is now open to the public, but the metro station is not finished yet.
The station is built out of brick and end brick, a new composite material.
Ramsley Architecture Company based in
Paddington has designed this building, whilst the construction was executed by
CompBuild Co from
Embankment. The building was funded by taxpayers money - 75% by the state and 25% by
Loirent and
Danue, as their land has significantly higher value now. The platforms end in staircases, leading up to the main hall and the metro elevators. A small goods office has been built on Platform 1 and 2.
