The Ferrowfield Railway Yard's service capabilities have been decommissioned, as the new service works in Rochester are now fully operational. The Pilegron Railway Govcom has announced that it will be selling off the plots on the current grounds of the yard to the highest bidders. A railway link will be included for the new tenants, including a fixed service contract negotiated after the bidding. Serveral companies, including the local Mekle Iron Company and the Waverey Wheat Company have announced their interest in the properties.
