The Department of Economy, Tax and Finances has been in turmoil ever since the release of the paper about currencies by Bexley. The first notes has just been released: The department is regarding the paper positively. The board recommends backing the Gould on a valuable material to increase stability. The board recommends pegging the value of the currency to Emeralds, where 10 Goulds equals one emerald, which can be exchanged at any time. Emeralds have been used as a primitive form of currency for decades, and has remained stable over a long time. The department recommends for the establishment of a central bank which holds a reserve of emeralds, where anyone can exchange emeralds for goulds at any time. It is expected that more notes will be released in the following days.

While I appreciate the Department's efforts to stabilize our currency, I believe this approach lacks foresight. Tying our economic future to a finite resource like emeralds seems unnecessarily restrictive.
