An inquiry has been made by the Eastern Railway Co. in response to the negativity towards the railways emitted by the residents of
Shepton. Whilst most complaints revolve around the railway cutting through land previously used by the farmers, a considerable amount of hate was directed towards the station building. The Eastern Railway Co. has now rebuilt the station with the help of the
Enfield based
Brick Lane Architecture Company. Despite their name indicating another brick building, the company employed a new building style, dubbed "modern", inspired by the Cockfosters station in London. One of the metro elevators has been scrapped, but a new hall under the station made room for a small local goods shop.
