James Cole connected with Morris Evans
James, walking home from his shift at the train repair shop, noticed a young boy intently watching the locomotives pass by. The boy's fascination reminded him of his own son, Lincoln, who shared a similar passion for trains. James approached the boy, introducing himself as James and asking about the boy's name. The boy beamed and said, 'My name is Morris!'
James spent the next few minutes talking to Morris about trains, sharing stories from his work and pointing out the different types of engines. Morris listened with wide-eyed wonder, peppering James with questions about how they worked. As they talked, James noticed Morris's mother watching from a distance, a tired but appreciative smile on her face.
Realizing it was getting late, James said goodbye to Morris and his mother, promising to show them around the train yard sometime. Walking home, James couldn't shake the feeling that he had made a genuine connection with both Morris and his mother.
