There has been a long lasting dispute for the area known by locals as
Kowloon, the unincorporated area between
Hammer,
Danue and
New Republic. The boroughs have all claimed the land as theirs, but do not want to risk reactions from the other boroughs by enforcing rules within the area.
This has lead to the development of a shady spot, where you can get things you could never get in the rest of the city. From markets selling potions and rotten flesh, to special herbs from "the yellow house", everything can be had here.
Recently, the area has been built over by its rising number of residents. The structural soundness of the makeshift housing has been questioned by multiple people. Although there are no official reports,
Kowloon is reported to have the highest density of residents per area anywhere in the city. The development of the housing has angered many neighbors, yet no one can do anything about it - as an unincorporated area, the laws of pilegron do not apply in
Kowloon. The community is well organized and a special feeling of a family has formed amid the constant tension between the residents and the authorities from outside.
Some find beauty in this unlawful area, and have moved to it, spiking the demand for housing, which can be meet by the local community. The development is expected to grow, even as security concerns arise.
